Resurrecting the Sunflower Sea Star

How reviving an endangered sea star could restore the California kelp forests.

Why make this film?

Beautiful destinations don't just stay beautiful.

It takes hard work to protect, preserve and restore the natural world so that it can continue to be enjoyed.

We wanted to celebrate conservation efforts and empower visitors to learn

from the local community.

This film highlights

the fate of the Sunflower
Sea Star

Let's recap how we made this.

The goal was to combine thoughtful interviews with beautiful footage in a fun, educational format.

Over five days,

we conducted six interviews, visited four locations and learned a lot.
